31 May Beauty and Brunch Makeup Workshop: Focusing on covering hyper pigmentation
Hey Beauties, here is a recap from my recent Beauty and Brunch Makeup Workshop. This was an event tailored to young professionals interested in learning how minimize the appearance of dark circles and hyper pigmentation. Hyper pigmentation is a common skin condition that causes increased melanin, leading to darkening of areas of skin and nails. This is a huge concern in women of all ages, and can at times lead to emotional distress. Research has shown that using makeup to cover skin discoloration enhance a woman’s mood and self esteem. The main cover up was achieved with Estée Lauder Double Wear Light foundation: it has 15 hour stay-in-place ability, controls oil, and provides medium coverage for a natural finish. The trick to flawless foundation application lies in the tool used and the technique used to apply it. Attendees learned techniques for flawless foundation application using a beauty blender, and were able to sample this foundation in their respective shade. They also learned how to create a simple day look, and then turn it into a night look.
Everyone enjoyed the Mimosas and delectable treats. 🙂
Enjoy 🙂

The key to flawless makeup application is blending. Always remember to start with a fresh, cleanly moisturized face and use a color correcting primer to reduce the appearance of discoloration and fill in find lines. Stay tuned for a future post dedicated to minimizing the appearance of dark circles around eyes.
A special thank you to the beautiful attendees who enjoyed themselves in the midst of learning. Thank you Shodiphoto for photographing the event as well as the model photoshoot.
