Kamaria’s Classy Brooklyn Wedding

Kamaria is a subtle yet sophisticated woman, and wanted a neutral look that complemented her unique personality.

Using a blend of soft pink and mauve  eye shadow hues, I  created a smoke eye with a hinted wing to give her eyes a “stand out” effect. Highlight, contour and cheeks were done with MAC blushes. On her lips, her fav lippie combo: Faux and Boy Bait. 🙂

The bridesmaids wore mother of pearl dresses, which can be matched with several makeup looks. However to complement the subtle yet sophisticated theme, I chose hues of gold and copper eye shadow, then smoked out the crease of the eye with shades of brown. Likewise, The mothers of the bride and groom received hues of gold and copper eye shadow.

To achieve long-lasting makeup and prevent an oily appearance, I used key oil free products from MAC, Cetaphil, and Aveeno (based on preference) to moisturize.

I then primed each face with Smashbox oil free Photofinish primer. To complete/set the makeup, each member of the bridal party was dashed with a hint of Mac Prep + Prime transparent finishing powder. This is an excellent product for reducing shine and minimizing the look of pores. The best thing about it: it works on all complexions.

Sometimes the wedding day prep can be a busy and overwhelming, yet intimate and funny day for a bride. So when the bride is in my chair, it is my goal to take her mind off any chaos going on around her, and enjoy this beautiful moment of joy,  laughter, and fellowship with loved ones. Kamaria and the bridal party definitely enjoyed the moment…

This is why for me, wedding day makeup prep is more than looking good: it’s the entire experience! 7 beautiful faces to work with, and I am happy to have been chosen as the makeup artist for  Kamaria and the bridal party. They all felt as good as they look!
