09 Nov Lip Care with Mary Kay Satin Lips
Hey Beauties!
Winter is coming but I’m kissing chapped lips away with this winning combo by Mary Kay. It’s the Mary Kay Satin Lips Mask and Balm set. I’ve been using this for years, and it has not failed me yet. It’s a Dr. G staple for lip exfoliation and hydration.
The MK Satin Lip Mask contains miniature beads that gently and effectively exfoliate the dead surface skin cells that cause the lips to appear chapped, dull and lifeless. And the MK Satin Lip Balm contains vitamin A and E derivatives and Ceramide 2, (similar to Aquaphor healing ointment) to help condition dry and rough lips. Since the balm doesn’t contain any drying agents (ie. camphor), it keeps my lips soft and moisturized for at least 3-4 hours in a work day (the product lable says up to 6 hours, but I do a lot of talking as a doc).
I typically use this product duo once a week, however, in the colder winter months, it becomes a twice a week routine for that extra boost of lip protection and pampering!
How to Use:
1. Dampen lips
2. Rub Mary Kay Satin Lip Mask on both lips, making a film
**leave the mask on for about 2 min (great time to sort through the mail)
3. Gently rinse away mask
4. Pat dry with a clean cloth
5. Apply the Mary Kay Satin Lip Balm*
*Satin Lip Balm can be substituted with Aquaphor Healing Ointment
I use the MK Satin Lip Balm as a primer for my lipstick and/or lipgloss, so that’s an optional (recommended) step 6
who doesn’t want soft lips?!
It’s definitely worth the try, your lips will thank you later 😉
