Hey Beauties!
After attending this year’s Makeup Show in NYC, I just had to blog about it. This was a two-day show featuring several vendors with exclusive discounts, Models being body painted and airbrushed in real-time, Breakout Sessions/Classes, and many celebrity artists! If you missed The Makeup Show NYC, here is my recap :

The Makeup show is the “Go To” event where thousands of makeup artists come to a major city, and spend lots of money on new product, learn from the pros, and fellowship with other artists and beauty enthusiasts. I actually plan a budget prior to attending these events so I don’t go crazy purchasing everything I see. 🙂
I ran into celeb artist Renny Vasquez en route to Makeup Forever. Renny spoke to an audience of makeup artists about his journey and what it takes to be successful in this business. He is so humble about it all; Mr. “Catch the Beat”

I stopped by AJ Crimson’s booth to test his famous BB Cream, purchased one, then got a snapshot with the man himself. I love this bb cream. It’s light weight, provides great coverage, is moisturizing, and perfect for natural looks.
My friend/fellow makeup artist Tammy and I met up for some makeup chat with AJ Crimson and of course, more shopping! (Tammy’s rolling suitcase not shown)

I was able to score front seats at the Mehron Inc Bridal Makeup Demo.
It’s always good to take lessons in bridal makeup, especially since wedding season is in effect.
Mehron Inc. Bride. Artist Tip: for green eyes to pop, try red eyeshadows because green balances red in the color wheel 🙂
One of the highlights of my day was meeting Felicia Walker Benson, Miss This n That Beauty herself. It’s always great to have beauty chat with another skin care enthusiast. Off to the Dermologica Booth we go!

My haul: 32 brushes, Dermalogica skin primer, AJ Crimson BB Cream in shade 5, Brush Cleaner, Spatulas, Mascara Wands, and 100 Sample Jars (not shown). As you can see, I didn’t need any makeup. I had already stocked up at IMATS NYC 🙂
I had a great time at this year’s Makeup Show NYC. The Powder Group (producers of The Makeup Show) understand how difficult it is for some of us to wait one year, so they added a pop-up show, which will be Dec 2013 in NYC. I’m crossing my fingers that I will have the day off from Residency so that I can attend in order to get some X-mas goodies.
